LABORATORY ASSISTANT

GENERAL DESCRIPTION

For our slaughterhouse in Oevel, the most modern slaughterhouse in Belgium, we are looking for a laboratory assistant.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

You are responsible for checking and analyzing meat samples.

You ensure that the measuring instruments work perfectly by calibrating them.

You can work independently and accurately. Basic administrative tasks (such as recording analyses) are no problem for you.

You follow internal training and continue learning daily.

If you are interested in environmental issues and legislation, there is an opportunity for career advancement.

We work on a rotating weekly schedule. One week, you start at 7:30 AM, and the following week, you start between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM, depending on workload and in consultation with colleagues.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

You speak good Dutch; English is a plus.

You have a laboratory technician degree or equivalent experience.

You are flexible regarding a rotating work schedule.

You place a high value on safety and quality.

You are precise and have an eye for detail.

You possess basic administrative knowledge.

You can work in a structured way and follow a plan.

You are proactive and take the initiative to support the quality team during quieter moments.
